What is the Evotrex-PG5?

The Evotrex-PG5 is the world’s first power-generating RV trailer, a hybrid RV designed to support extended off-grid travel with a fully integrated power ecosystem, advanced towing assist, and a premium residential interior.

What makes Evotrex-PG5 different from other RVs?

It creates its own power. A unified system of 1.5 kW solar, a 43 kWh LFP battery, and a 75 kW ultra-efficient onboard generator, continuously replenishes energy for HVAC, appliances, and onboard systems.

How much does the Evotrex-PG5 weigh?

The Evotrex-PG5's GVWR is rated 9,500 lbs and 8,350 lbs dry, while the Evotrex-PG5 Premium's GVWR is rated 9,900 lbs, and 8,900 lbs dry.

What vehicles are recommended to tow the Evotrex-PG5?

Please refer to your vehicle’s user manual to verify its maximum towing capacity. Evotrex does not provide advice on tow vehicle selection and recommends consulting your vehicle manufacturer or dealer for guidance.

What is a hybrid RV?

A hybrid RV combines multiple energy sources, typically pairing a high-capacity battery pack, a fuel-powered generator, and sometimes integrated solar panels, so you can camp and travel without relying on hookups. Note that some dealers also use “hybrid” for towables with fold-out tent ends; the Evotrex-PG5 is a hybrid in the energy sense, pairing a 43 kWh battery, a 75 kW generator, and 1.5 kW integrated solar.

Is the Evotrex-PG5 a hybrid RV or a hybrid motorhome?

The PG5 is a hybrid travel trailer, not a hybrid motorhome or hybrid camper van. Motorhomes and camper vans are self-propelled; the PG5 is towed, and its TowSync™ adaptive tow assist uses an onboard electric motor to make towing more stable and efficient.

Is the Evotrex-PG5 an all-electric RV trailer?

It’s a power-generating trailer that operates primarily on electric energy, supported by our 75 kW ultra-efficient gas-powered generator that automatically recharges the battery when needed. This hybrid energy design means you never depend on campground hookups.

What is the PG5’s battery capacity?

A 43 kWh automotive-grade LFP battery pack is selected for safety, longevity, and thermal stability.

What does "power-generating" mean?

The PG5 actively generates energy using Horizon, solar panels, and regenerative braking while towing. The 75 kW onboard generator automatically engages when the battery is low, keeping the system powered wherever you are.

What generator does the PG5 use?

The PG5 integrates a 75 kW automotive-grade, fully integrated, high-efficiency generator with its own fuel tank. It automatically recharges the battery pack while towing or parked, generating up to 225 kWh of power on a full tank.

Why choose a hybrid RV over a conventional trailer?

Hybrid recreational vehicles generate and store their own power, so you can run HVAC, a full electric kitchen, and smart systems for 7+ days off-grid. Conventional trailers depend on campground hookups, and fewer than 25% of U.S. campsites offer electric hookups.

When do preorders open?

You can preorder the Evotrex-PG5 with a fully refundable $100 deposit today.

Where is the Evotrex-PG5 available for preorder?

Initial preorders will open in the United States, Australia, and Canada, with U.S. deliveries prioritized.

When will initial deliveries begin?

Production of the Evotrex-PG5 is targeted before the end of 2026, with U.S. customer shipments following shortly after. Australian and Canadian timelines will be shared later.

How much does the Evotrex-PG5 cost?

The Evotrex-PG5 starts at $119,990. The fully loaded Evotrex-PG5 Premium is $159,990.

What financing or leasing options are available?

Further details will be released in the coming months.

Can I cancel my preorder?

Yes. Preorder deposits are fully refundable at any time before finalizing your build and signing your purchase agreement. You can log into your Evotrex account to cancel your preorder, or contact support@evotrex.com for assistance.
